🚲 Deck Your Wheels Parade – Kids Waiver
Participation in the Kids’ Bike Parade requires a parent or guardian to complete a waiver on behalf of each child.
This waiver acknowledges that activities such as riding bikes, scooters, wagons, or strollers involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, and changing conditions. Parents/guardians agree to supervise their child at all times and confirm that the child is physically able to safely participate.
By completing the waiver, you also consent to emergency medical treatment if needed and accept responsibility for any associated costs. Helmets and appropriate safety gear are required for all participants.
👉 Goodie bags will be available while supplies last.
🏃 Firecracker 5K – Participant Waiver
All Firecracker 5K participants must complete a waiver prior to race day.
This waiver confirms that participants understand running a road race involves risks such as falls, physical exertion, weather conditions, and contact with other participants or objects. Participants certify they are physically able to take part and agree to follow all race rules and instructions.
By signing, participants consent to emergency medical treatment if needed and accept responsibility for any related costs. The waiver also includes agreement to event policies, including non-refundable registration and use of event photography for promotional purposes.
Town of Emerald Isle – General Event Waiver
Certain activities during the event require acknowledgment of general participation risks.
By completing this waiver, participants agree to release event organizers, sponsors, and the Town of Emerald Isle from liability for injuries or damages that may occur before, during, or after participation. This includes acknowledging risks related to weather, crowds, and general event conditions.
Participants also agree to follow all safety guidelines, event rules, and public health recommendations in place at the time of the event.
